4 Steps In Under 5 mins - Pure Value

Hey crew, this week we’re cutting through the noise and focusing on what actually ranks new websites higher.

This isn’t about expensive tools or shady tactics. It’s about simple moves that successful solopreneurs quietly repeat - because they work.

Each step below can be done in a single day.
Do them consistently, and they snowball across Google and AI search.

Let’s dive in 👇

Competitor “Alternatives” Pages

Most people try to outrank competitors on broad keywords only - and lose. There’s a proven back door: show up when their users are already searching for a replacement. This is where conversion suddenly becomes easy.

The bigger your competitor, the more users search:

  • “X alternative”

  • “X vs Y”

  • “Cheaper than X”

These people are already looking to switch - they are “warm”. You just need to get to them. A great example of this case is Capacity vs Meku. You can use the Capacity page as a real-life example of how this page should look and learn from it. In the meantime, here are some tips on how to speed this up and finish in less than an hour:

  1. Create one template page: YOU vs Competitor.

  • Highlight your strengths and the competitor’s gaps.

  • CRUCIAL: compare prices, add discount, bundle price, high ticket upsell and point it out

  1. Use template to create a comparison page for each competitor

  • Ask Perplexity for all major competitors in your niche.

  • Pass it the template of your competitor page, demand EXACT data for each competitor

  • Iterate over each competitor in response with Claude/Cursor to generate a new template page.

Takeaway: Besides users, AI also loves competitor pages for comparison. This is a solid foundation for your future traffic. See which competitors bring the most traffic with time, invest more time in those pages later...

Quality Backlinks

Google doesn’t just rank “good content.” It ranks websites it trusts.
The fastest way to build trust is by getting high-quality links from credible places. You don’t need outreach agencies or spammy emails. Just make sure your product is listed on legit launch/startup directories.

Here’s a list of websites you can use today to get quality backlinks that will boost your authority and bring traffic:

  • Product Hunt

  • Hacker News

  • Ignite

  • Uneed

  • Crunchbase

  • Weebly

  • Gthub

  • Pixabay

  • Foursquare

  • Blogger

  • Pexels

  • Flickr

  • Hackernoon

  • AuthorSTREAM

  • Strikingly

  • Site123

  • BookLikes

  • Devpost

  • Gifyu

  • Scribd

  • Medium

  • Slideshare

  • Craigslist

  • Tumblr

  • Reddit

Takeaway: Each listing = visibility + authority. Do this once, and you immediately look more trustworthy in Google’s eyes.

SEO-Optimised Blog Content

New websites just can't rank for High Difficulty keywords, period. The angle is targeting many long tail keywords in your niche that have low difficulty. They do have smaller volume of searches, but consistency brings snowball effect later.

Manual process:

  1. Research keywords (Ahrefs, etc.).

  2. Turn them into helpful blog posts.

  3. Publish 3-7 per week.

Manual process is boring, but I have some good news. There are tools that automate this fully. Tools like Outrank and similar offer 3 articles for free and then cost around $100 a month. I will shamelessly plug my tool called Ubenie because each new user of Ubenie gets 10 articles for free, and the best part is the referral program that gives you 1 month of free usage for each new paying user that you bring.

So instead of paying $50-$100 a month like with most tools, you can realistically keep generating content for free - just by sharing it.

Takeaway: Consistency > perfection.

Answer-the-Public / FAQ Pages

People literally tell Google exactly what they’re confused about.
Most sites ignore those questions - which is wild, because AI search and Google LOVE them. Answering them turns your site into the “obvious expert.”

Here’s the process:

  1. Look up questions people ask in your niche.

  2. Save every question.

  3. Turn them into FAQ sections across your site.

  4. Keep answers short, direct, useful.

Why it works:

  • AI responses surface FAQs

  • Google sees topical authority

  • Question searches convert better

You added "answers" to your website, and guess which tool searches the whole internet to give its users answers? That's right, AI models. The best part is that these people convert way more than usual website visitors

Takeaway: Map FAQ questions to each page that you can and your future self will thank you for that.

Rock solid foundation

Ranking on Google isn’t magic.
It’s consistency, simple systems, and doing the boring work that others skip. If you take even one of these ideas and actually apply it, you’ll already be ahead of most founders. I’ll keep sharing what works as I test it on my own projects.

Until then, bye crew!

P.S. Ask yourself : “Do I even have something to lose?”
